Union Pacific Snowy Valleys Division
Australia
Приєднався 24 лют 2008
On this channel, we will share our passion for the model railroading hobby and our layout. We are constructing a freelance N scale/HO scale loosely based on the Utah region of the Union Pacific.
We started this channel in 2008 in Katherine Northern Territory, later on we moved to NSW and built the Union Pacific Wee Jasper division which is featured in many videos on this channel. We then started our current layout in August 2019 in our basement, first room is 5 x 4 meters and we are planning to expand it to a second room (4 x 3 meters)
All the tracks are Kato unitrack, Digitrax DCC system and JMRI to control trains and signals.
We love all railroads and locomotive types. All trains are welcome on our layout.
If you enjoy this channel please like and subscribe!!! Nico and Martin from Australia

You think you atleast can get a BOMBARDIER HR-616 until Christmas? (Just wondering if it is makable or not.)
I honestly hope to get an HO big boy for myself. Having such a massive steamie for my layout is something I really wanna have.
Thanks for watching and for your comment! I wish you all the good luck to get a Big Boy asap! Kind regards
@@UnionPacificAustraliaanytime man! Nice work on this video! The big Boy and the 20th century limited steam engine are my top 2 most wanted steam engines.
@@Cyber_Horse_Studios87 Thanks mate!
Very handsome streamlined Hudson type locomotive model and it's a true shame that none of the New Haven i5 class engines were preserved for display. I always liked the streamlined Hudson 4-6-4 type locomotives and i do wish that BLI would produce this locomotive in their regular, non brass locomotive series lineup as to be somewhat more affordable- Tom.
Thanks Tom again for watching and for your comment, I hope BLI can produce a more accessible version too!. Kind regards
Nice video, is the 844 of Broadway Limited Imports?
Thanks for watching and for your question, yes, correct it is a BLI locomotive.
@@UnionPacificAustralia It's beautiful, thank you
@@FXE4029 Yes, it is!
Love it 😍
Thanks for your comment and support!
I also have one of the D&RGW C-48s, even the same road number.
Thanks for watching and for your comment , it is a very nice little locomotive!
Going to be honest, the weirdest lash up, and I love it
Thanks for watching and for your honest comment, yes I agree it is very weird lash up, but like you, we love it and we like to experiment! At the end it is hobby for fun! All the best from Australia
Trn Ghost
Thanks for watching!
Very attractive model of the UP Challenger type locomotive, I really hope that I will be able to purchase ab ho scale UP Challenger model for myself in the future at some point. This Challenger model is from the mth ho lineup of locomotives, I might end up purchasing a model from either BLI or Athearn Genesis as they are what is most recently available on the market currently.
Thanks Thomas for watching and for your comment. Yes you are correct, you can get the new BLI Challenger, it is a very good model like this one. All the best!
Looking and sounding good! Crescent green made the Southern loco's iconic!
Thanks for watching and for your comment! All the best from Australia
Love it, that's music to my ears.
It is beautiful! An Amazing locomotive
Hach, ALCOs. Those engines that go 'CLANK CLANK CLANK'.
Yes, right sound!
@@UnionPacificAustralia Ya think you'll ever get the C855 reviewed? (Maybe in December.)
@@ALCO-C855-fanSorry I don’t have that locomotive, I wish I can have it one day.
@@UnionPacificAustralia I mean ya think you can get it until Christmas?
@@ALCO-C855-fan I can’t buy a brass model,
Very handsome SP GS4 type model and I really hope that I be able to purchase an ho scale GS4 model for myself in the future at some point. Broadway Limited has recently released an ho scale GS4 model in their paragon 4 sound locomotive series, I might decide to purchase one of those models later on and I want a GS4 locomotive in the black/ silver paint scheme as I really like that scheme. This was an enjoyable, short video of the movement of the mth ho GS4 model- Tom.
Thanks Tom for watching and for your comment and feedback. I believe the BLI it is an amazing model too.
8:08 - Are you surprised? IT'S A Y6b!!! A LEGEND!😎 BIG - CHUNGUS!!!😎😎😎
An Amazing locomotive indeed!
@@UnionPacificAustralia It still is. Just recorded this to remake when I got the time.

IT'S ALIVE!!! MUHEHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!🤓🥸😎 SF's Hudson. How's my birthday shot going?
Hi, no sorry, nothing yet. I don’t think I can do it on time.
@@UnionPacificAustralia Can you then do it within a few days after?
@@ALCO-C855-fan I will try, but I’m seriously busy, I do my videos in summer, within December and February. The rest of the year I don’t have time for the hobby. Thanks
@@UnionPacificAustralia So that means potential cancellation?
@@ALCO-C855-fan I said from day one, I will try, but yes, cancellation is an option (90%),
Well this is... Fire.😏
I know this is an older video but I'm new looking to get into this hobby after 40 plus years now. I'm looking at this set to start out, the set with the lights and sound. Do the cars actually light up on this inside with this set "KATO N 106-104-LS1" ? Any input on starting out and this set would be greatly appreciated. I have to stick with N scale as I have very little room, thanks!
Hi, thanks for watching and for your question. This is a very nice set, runs very good and it is reliable. Unfortunately no lights inside the passenger cars, but Kato sells the kit to install them. If you want to start in N scale this could be a great way. If you have little room to model N scale is the best option. Also I recommend the Kato track unitrack. It is an easy way to model trains. Any questions please feel free to ask. All the best from Australia
@@UnionPacificAustralia Hi, thank you for the prompt reply and all of the information. I had an HO set back in the 70's and now I have more time to spend with a train set. This set really has caught my attention and I saw it with the cars lighted up and I really liked it. All the Best back to you from the US!
@@deang4438 You will enjoy scale, with sounds and lights they are very close to the current HO models. I hope you can start soon!
Beautiful model, but MASSIVELY overpriced. I almost choked when I saw the prices of the newest generation of engines. And just BLI, though they are worst offenders.
Thanks Norman for watching and for your comment. I hope BLI can get these feedback. Regards
Alleady saved for my Big Boy music video.^^
👌
@@UnionPacificAustralia Also while I want you to make my birthday video until July 2nd in case you don't make it, you can also delay it for a day or 2 but publish it the 1st day that's free. Still try to do it until July 2nd.
@@ALCO-C855-fan noted, thanks
@@UnionPacificAustralia Does it look like you can make it so far?
I'm gonna include that in yet another Cargo movin' people remake.^^
Ok 👌
@@UnionPacificAustralia Yeah. My newer version might be a bit more professional then.
THE TURBO TRAIN?!?!?! I love you dude!!!^^
Yes, Turbo train
@@UnionPacificAustralia Hope you make another video with this. A bir longer + very fast like it did irl.

If ScaleTrains did a 70's UP SD40-2 in N or HO, I'd be interested. ScaleTrains does have SD40T-2's coming late this year and I"ve pre-ordered. Expecting great things.
Yes, the same, I love the tunnel motors! Thanks for watching and for your comment!
@@UnionPacificAustralia The upcoming tunnel motors look like they should improve upon the already nice Intermountain ones. One negative of the Intermountain are the plows, which just don't look very good.
@@riogrande5761 thanks again for your feedback
Congratulations. The 1st Big Boy vid I recorded from you. I'll use it as a part of a video collab for Nebraska66's *Roll on, Big Boy*.

@@ALCO-C855-fan good idea just add a link. Thanks
The ONLY - thing I dislike in many videos is that your goddamn door is in the background so that I have to make the footage old fashioned to make it look real.
I need the door! It is a small house. 🏠
@@UnionPacificAustralia I get that XD.🤣 It's just a bit of a nusence to edit. Why not covering it up for the one minute filming? (Some otheres would do.)🙂
@@ALCO-C855-fan I prefer natural videos. I don’t need to hide anything it is a hobby!

Thanks Thomas, it is a beautiful locomotive indeed!
Very handsome UP fef class model of the 844, I really hope to add an ho scale UP fef series locomotive model to my personal collection in the future, especially an fef painted in the "greyhound" passenger service paint scheme as that scheme is spectacular looking.
Just curious, Its numbered 8080 but has 8099 on the nose. Misprint?
Yes you are right, I didn’t notice it. Thanks
Sorry I asked again. Lost oversight in the messy comments, but my birthday is on July 2nd. Can I request sth. for that day?
What means sth.? Sorry I can’t understand the question
@@UnionPacificAustralia I meant, can I request something for my birthday on July 2nd? (I finally enter full adulthood with 21.)
If you don't mind, I'll include that one in a follow up of my Centipede video.😁
Yes, no problems
@@UnionPacificAustralia Also another idea for my birthday film on July 2nd. (ONLY) If possible repaint (Only) the Centipede 1600a's bogies in the same silver like the H0 scale coal turbine. That shiny shade you know...
@@ALCO-C855-fan It is winter time here, I can’t pain in winter due to the cold and humidity in the house
@@UnionPacificAustralia Ouch. Where do you even live that it's STILL cold?

How TF did it fit through the curve?!😲😯
It is a good design by BLI. It runs ok, it has not flangers in the central wheels
@@UnionPacificAustralia That shurly helps. No flangers + long wheel base = better curve nagotiation.
Could I include that too? (900 BACK TO LIFE!)
Yes sure

ive never had a n scale track but if this was in ho i would drop about 300 for a analog only version
Yes. I would do the same. Thansk for watching and for your comment!
Very impressive model of the UP "early challenger" type class, I would love to own one of these models in the future as these locomotives served as the design base for the later challengers and big boys. I really like the variety of steam power that the Union Pacific rr owned during the steam era, and the early challenger type is an important example of the UP steam fleet.
Agree, it is a beautiful model to run! Thanks for watching and for your comment
My apologies for commenting a lot. I simply wanna make shure to have your consent when using stuff.
I'd like to make a video of my AU of where the GTEL is today and it's history. (For my own stories to bring back types lost to time.) Can I use this footage including the other shorter one for it?^^
OH GOD THE COAL TURBINE!!!🥲😆😍 May I redo that a bit to bring it back to life? (Filters & sound fix.) (Sorry I leave so many requests. I simply love your stuff.)
